THE SOCIAL QUARTERS / YOUR FACE-TO-FACE PLACE
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I know some of our members will be traveling over the holidays to spend time with friends and family, so please be safe and enjoy the holidays. We will be having Thanksgiving dinner at the lodge on November 23rd, and invite everyone to come out. The lodge will be preparing the turkeys and we ask that everyone bring a side dish to share. We will be opening at 12:00p.m. and serving dinner at 2:00p.m. Hope to see you there!

The lodge will be having our Youth Awareness program on November 4th at 9:00a.m. and this is a great way in which we support our community. Terry Mason has done a wonderful job with this event and we know it's very near and dear to his heart. Thanks Terry!

We will be holding our annual Servers Party on Saturday, December 23rd and we would love our members to come party with us. There will be food, karaoke and lots of fun ! See you in your Social Quarters!

Hello All,

I’d like to start out by saying congrats to our brother, Brian “Cajun” Andrus. He works hard for our lodge. Sometimes in life, things come back to ya. You deserve it, brother. Also, I would like to give a shout out to our ladies for the generous donation towards paying off our walk-in cooler. Thanks so much, from us all.

By the time you read this it will probably be too late to see, but our Social Quarters is unbelievably decorated for Halloween. Sherry has gone all out with the help and use of decorations from Ric & Anita Bondy. It looks like a professional haunted house. Nice job all!

We are not out of the hole yet with our walk-in cooler, and we have other concerns in our kitchen. The floor is ready to fall in. Put it this way, if my buddy Jeffery “Slim” Shaddy & myself were serving food, we would wind up in the basement. We all know that’s not gonna happen, as far as Slim & I serving, but the floor is seriously dangerous. So, if we are looking into fixing it, it will probably cost around $1,300 for the floor and $300 for clear coat. Safety is most important. So, we’ll find a way. We always do.

Also, let’s keep Irene Hartwig in our thoughts & prayers. She fell and broke her hip, has had surgery and has been in the hospital ever since. During these trying times, she has also lost her cat Buddy. We miss you, Irene.

That’s it for now. Please continue what you’re all doing as members and it will all work out.

Thank you.

P.S. We still need cooks for burger nights, this is important to our lodge.

Richie
